Departments
Who can use this: Admin and HR can create, edit, and delete. Managers and Team Leads can view only.
Departments are the teams and divisions within each company.
Viewing Departments
- Click Departments in the sidebar.
- The table shows:

Filtering by Entity
Use the Entity dropdown filter above the table to show departments for a specific company. Select All Entities to see everything.
Searching
Use the search box to find departments by name or entity name.
Creating a Department
- Click New Department.
- Select the Entity (company).
- Enter the department Name (must be unique within the entity).
- Click Save.
Editing a Department
- Click the actions menu (⋮) → Edit.
- Change the name as needed.
- Click Save.
Deleting a Department
- Click the actions menu (⋮) → Delete.
- Confirm the deletion.
You cannot delete a department that still has employees. Reassign employees to another department first. Managers and team leads are automatically detached when the department is deleted.
Assigning Managers
- Find the department in the table.
- Click the Managers button on that row.
- A dialog opens with a list of all employees.
- Check employees you want as managers. Uncheck any to remove.
- Click Save.
When you save, the manager list is completely replaced with your current selection. Make sure everyone you want is checked before saving.
Assigning Team Leads
Works the same way as managers:
- Click the Team Leads button on the row.
- Check/uncheck employees as needed.
- Click Save.
The same employee can be a manager of one department and a team lead of another — there are no restrictions.
Exporting to CSV
Click Export CSV to download departments as a spreadsheet. The export respects the current entity filter.
