Org Chart
The Org Chart shows the reporting structure of your organisation — who reports to whom, across departments and levels. As an employee, you can see your own position within the hierarchy and explore the structure around you.
Accessing the Org Chart
Click Org Chart in the left sidebar.
What You Can See
As an employee, the Org Chart shows your own subtree — that is, yourself and any employees who report to you (and their reports, and so on). You will not see the full company tree.
Each node in the chart shows:
- The employee's profile picture or initials
- Their name
- Their job title
- Their department (with a colour-coded badge)
- A small amber dot if they are currently on probation
Navigating the Chart
Expanding and Collapsing Nodes
- Click the expand/collapse button on any node to show or hide that employee's direct reports.
- Collapsed nodes show the total number of people within that subtree so you can gauge the team size at a glance.
Zooming In and Out
Use the controls in the corner of the chart:
- + — zoom in
- − — zoom out
- Fit — automatically scales the entire chart to fit your screen
- Reset — returns to 100% zoom
Searching
Type a name, job title, or department in the search box:
- Matching nodes are highlighted.
- Non-matching nodes are dimmed.
- The chart automatically expands branches that contain a match so you can find people without manually navigating the tree.
Clicking Through to a Profile
Click any employee's name or avatar to open their full profile page.
Department Colours
Each department is assigned a distinct colour, shown as a badge on each node. A colour legend at the top of the chart maps colours to department names, making it easy to see team boundaries visually.
Tips
- Use the Fit button after opening the chart to get a full view before zooming in on a specific branch.
- Use Search to quickly locate a specific person rather than manually expanding the tree.
- The amber probation dot is a quick indicator — if you manage a team, this helps you keep track of who is still in their probationary period.
